Pianos that went to war during WWII. One piano that went to war will be at the Village Green. Come learn about this amazing story and here the piano played at this free concert.
Learn how Steinway and Sons built heavy duty pianos that would be delivered by B-17 Bombers into all theaters of war during WWII. These pianos were vital for the morale of our troops and became known as Victory Verticals. We will have one piano that went to war, named for its owner - Colonel George Boucher at the Village Green! This free concert is brought to you thorough a collaboration betweem the Ladies Musical Club of Seattle and the Village Green Arts Program.
