Greenworks events will be publicized through the Village Green website, newsletter and FotVG@gmail.org web site.
Village Green Community Garden. In a two-year refurbishment plan:
- 2024 — Old garden structures torn out and the land regraded; new cedar raised beds built and installed by volunteers, increasing capacity to 23 beds
- 2025 — Existing beds filled with soil ready to be rented; fencing and gates reinforced and secured.
- 2026 — Three-bin compost system built. Irrigation to be installed
In the sunniest corner of the Village Green campus, inside a deer fence. Plots rent to the local community from March/April each year. Priority given to returning gardeners. Cultivation runs through December. $60 per plot per year. Enquiries at the community center front desk or vgcommunitygardeners@gmail.com. Come, garden and join a great community!

Mission
To offer and provide a conduit for connecting the local community to the four major divisions of horticulture; Floriculture, Landscape, Olericulture (vegetables) and Pomology (fruits).
Vision
Using the Village Green, Kingston, as its hub Greenworks partners with local groups to offer educational classes, hands on workshops, lectures and events to support the rich and diverse horticulture opportunities available in our area.
